The Carriage House Wedding - Kendall + Nathan

A stylish bride, a dapper groom, and gorgeous shades of blush, gold, and ivory came together for Kendall and Nathan's summer wedding. It was an extremely hot day, but these two warmed it up even more strolling among the green fields of their venue and breaking it down on the dance floor with their friends and family. This couple completely rocked their engagement, and Kendall stunned us at her bridal session. Throughout our interactions with this couple, though, we were most impressed by their honesty with us and one another and just how darn fun they were. They may have started a little rocky on their first meeting in college (and we loved hearing this hilarious story), but these two truly are destined for a happy ending.

Both Kendall's bridal session and the couple's wedding day took place at this Jefferson City venue, The Carriage House. True to its name, this venue features a huge carriage house building with an oversized outdoor porch (perfect for dancing under the stars or admiring the amazing views) and beautiful chandelier lighting inside. A setting with green pastures and rolling hills and a picturesque white fence make up the surroundings of The Carriage House, and the stone path at ceremony site for Kendall and Nathan features a pristine arbor and perfectly manicured red blooms in the shape of a heart.  We appreciate the attention paid to these details, and this venue is nothing short of elegant.

These two were surrounded by love and support throughout their day. Emotional first looks with her Kendall's bridesmaids and father convey this through the photos, but it was a heartfelt toast by Kendall's sister at the reception that really stressed just how much this beautiful couple is loved. Kendall and Nathan's wedding was one we were looking forward to all year, and today, we are thrilled to share it with you.

Magnolia Plantation & Gardens Engagement - Britni + Andrew | Charleston Wedding Photographer

First opened to visitors in the 1870s, Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston, South Carolina, boasts a gorgeous natural setting with an array of plants and flowers, beautiful animals freely roaming the property, and, of course, the well-known picturesque Spanish moss covered oaks so distinctive to this southern city. We were thrilled when Britni and Andrew decided to do their engagement photos here while they were in town for a wedding and asked us to capture these special memories for them.

This couple was initially reluctant to admit their feelings for one another despite constantly being together and finding excuses to be alone (like needing help with Christmas shopping). That all changed, however, the day Britni was scheduled to leave for basic duty. The two finally confessed that they knew this could be something truly special, and although they had to spend time apart, just like a classic love story, the two wrote letters to one another with updates and sweet sentiments, stressing how much they missed each other during her time away. When Britni returned home, the two were inseparable. Andrew calls Britni his best friend, and the two are ready to begin this new adventure together as husband and wife.

A breathtaking garden setting at Magnolia Plantation meshed flawlessly with Britni's flowing white dress and her feminine pink floral printed skirt, and we loved Andrew's choice to wear suspenders. So classic. These two were all smiles throughout the session, and the genuine reactions and laughter they shared are our favorite parts of this shoot. Join us as we whisk you away to romantic Charleston for this lovely engagement.

The Cove Park Engagement - Kristina + Ben

"I find it incredibly amazing how at every sunset, the sky is a different shade. No cloud is ever in the same place. Each day is a new masterpiece. A new wonder. A new memory".- Sanober Khan

We didn't have to travel far for this couple's photos, but we love that they chose to use locations in Farragut for the backdrop of this engagement. Kristina and Ben, who were engaged in December and did have to make the journey from Illinois, wanted to have sentimental and meaningful locations, and the most important must have was the lake.

We ventured into the woods by Kristina's family home with this super active couple for some playful and romantic shots creek side. We were thrilled when they volunteered to get in the creek despite the somewhat chilly weather, so we could catch some beautiful moments of the two.

Our final planned stop took us to Cove Park, where Kristina and Ben strolled together on the sand; however, we spotted a beautiful dock on the way here and just couldn't get the image of the sun setting on the lake out of our minds, so we asked if the two were down for some additional photos. What a great decision this was! There is nothing like a sunset glimmering on the water with a gorgeous couple in the foreground!

We are super pumped to share these photos, and we can't wait for Kristina and Ben's big day at Mill and Mine in September. Enjoy these newly created memories!

Walnut Hill Farm Engagement - Jessica & Andrew

We traveled to this gorgeous venue, Walnut Hill Farm in Dalton, Georgia, on a cool fall morning to meet Jessica and Andrew for their engagement session. Despite the chill in the air, these two warmed it up with their beautiful smiles and clearly evident love for each other. The couple was game for anything, and we were excited to meet them early to capture this spectacular sunrise behind the mountains.

When we first spoke to the couple, they shared their engagement story, which we loved. They are super outdoorsy, and Andrew decided to propose on a fishing trip. When Jessica wasn't catching anything, he offered to change her lure. Little did she know, he was replacing her lure with an engraved one that stated, "This fish is a keeper. Will you marry me?" We loved their sweet and intimate proposal story, and we were thrilled that they chose us to capture not only these perfectly romantic photos but also their wedding in the spring at Walnut Hill Farm

Join us in wishing a congratulations, again, to Jessica and Andrew.

Whitestone Country Inn Wedding - Whitney + Joshua

We absolutely love shooting at the Whitestone Country Inn, a gorgeous venue along Watts Bar Lake in Kingston, Tennessee. Even more than this beautiful location, we are always thrilled to work with amazing couples, and Whitney and Josh are no exception.

When we met Whitney at the bridal suite under the chapel at the Whitestone, she was sitting on the floor eating strawberries; we knew immediately that this was going to be a super relaxed day, and she did not disappoint. We loved how carefree and easygoing Whitney was throughout the day, and this is one of our most important lessons we want brides to embrace. Don't stress, and the day will be perfect.

Whitney and Josh did not want to see each other prior to the ceremony, but they did want to share an intimate minute alone. More and more couples are choosing to do just want they did with a hidden first touch around the chapel doors. We captured the moments as the two held hands and as Josh rubbed Whitney's belly and talked to their baby girl. (We were thrilled to take shots of the wedding but to also incorporate some perfect maternity photos for the couple as well).  Josh prayed with his soon to be wife (and little one), and we were moved consistently throughout day at the respect these two showed for one another and how frequently they mentioned being blessed to have each other.

Whitney made a grand entrance to the ceremony with her father in a horse drawn carriage reminiscent of Cinderella's, and the couple actually took a ride after their nuptials together as the newly named Mr. and Mrs. The wedding was a truly sentimental one as Josh' grandfather, a long time minister, performed the ceremony and joined the two in matrimony.

The reception inside the Lion and Lamb's facility on the grounds included father/daughter and mother/son dances and lovely speeches as a tribute to the bride and groom. Josh even performed with his frat brothers and the guests looked on with delight. The couple prepared us early in the day for how delicious their cakes were (and they weren't lying), but we especially loved the groom's cake with a "hooked" topper to pay homage to Josh's favorite hobby, fishing.

We truly cannot say enough about this couple, and even though we met them on their wedding day, we felt like we had known them for a long time. We were so happy to be part of this occasion, and we hope you feel like you were there too with this glimpse of their big day.

The Barn at Living Water Wedding - Sarah & Daniel

We want to share with you today a very special wedding between one of my former students, Daniel, and his beautiful bride, Sarah, the epitome of high school sweethearts. Although they are still a young couple, one still in nursing school and the other pursuing a degree in medicine, they are wise beyond their years and so in love with one another.

Sarah and Daniel wanted a meaningful location for their nuptials, so they chose to have their wedding at the church they attended while students at Lee University, the Barn at Living Water. Featuring gorgeous fields, lush greenery, and a quaint barn, this venue was perfect for a beautifully sunny summer wedding. The two wed overlooking rolling hills and under an iron canopy adorned with purple, blue, and white flowers. This sentimental ceremony was performed by their pastor, and the two shared communion together as soon to be husband and wife. We loved the incorporation of string quartet for a touch of elegance and the family Bible that held the wedding bands for a sense of nostalgia.

Sarah's dress is aligned with one of the biggest wedding gown trends right now as it was two separate pieces. We loved the choice of a lace beaded bodice with a full skirt and long veil. The flawless "something blue" came into play with her shoes, but her gorgeous sapphire engagement ring and necklace were unique plays on that tradition as well. One of our favorite color pairings incorporated the girls' lavender dresses with the groomsmen's gray suits, and all of these shades blended perfectly within the rounded bouquets accented with greenery.

The couple's reception was held in the barn, and some of the most endearing moments of the day came as Sarah danced with her father and Daniel did the same with his mother; however, it was the speeches delivered by the bridesmaids and groomsmen that touched our hearts and showed us how much the love shared between these two has impacted others. The best man performed an emotional rendition of "Make You Feel My Love" that we think brought the entire room to tears. What a perfect gift for these two!

We feel blessed to have been able to celebrate the union of these two at their wedding, and we hope you see all of Sarah and Daniel's joy reflected in these images as we do.
