Tsali Notch Vineyard Wedding Styled Shoot - Kathryn + Hunter

Styled shoots are always a great chance to try out interesting poses and direct the models to achieve beautiful images representative of our style; however, Kathryn and Hunter, the gorgeous couple featured today, didn't need any direction from us at all, and we were so excited to capture their natural interactions with one another.

Kathyrn's dress was her own, and we love it when our brides or ladies that we shoot choose a flowy dress. We can catch amazing moments of movement, and the desire to sway or spin comes naturally with such lightweight fabrics. A simple dress with a special touch, like Kathryn's gown with lace sleeves and scoop back, can sometimes be underestimated, but being comfortable and easily achieving graceful movement is invaluable on a long wedding day and results in super elegant images.

Our favorite styling element of this shoot was the basket used to house Kathryn's flowers. This unique spin was a perfect alternative to a traditional bouquet, and it meshed flawlessly as a whimsical touch amidst the vineyard setting.

Kathryn and Hunter impressed all the photogs who came together to network for this styled shoot, and we are thrilled to share this bridal inspiration with you today.

Walnut Hill Farm Wedding - Jessica & Andrew

We started our journey from Knoxville to Dalton, Georgia, on rainy highways, and the drizzle continued to follow us until right before we reached Chattanooga. It was overcast and dreary, but we came prepared for Jessica and Andrew's wedding with our raincoats and clear umbrellas. As we arrived at the venue, we were greeted with a little sun peeking through the clouds despite the sprinkles still falling to the ground. When we walked into the Hilltop Barn at Walnut Hill Farms, we were blown away by the gorgeous fabric draped ceilings, elegant wooden chairs, and crisp white decor. With 20 foot high ceilings and giant wooden barn doors that can be opened to a view of the rolling pastures, this site provided an elegant space for Jessica and Andrew's reception.

Another truly amazing feature the barn has to offer is the breathtaking bridal suite made up of two rooms, one with a dining table perfect for Jessica and her girls to enjoy brunch together and the other a spacious room with navy walls, white trim, and tons of natural light for those amazing getting ready and "last minute touches" photos. True to our style, we asked Jessica and her bridesmaids to gather on the plush sofa for some "slumber party" photos before capturing Jessica getting into her gorgeous Martina Liana gown with touches of lace and that striking train. We loved that the barn loft opened so that we could grab some shots of Jessica from the ground looking out over her venue before strolling through the pavilion for some breathtaking bridal portraits. Andrew, our seriously dapper groom, was dressed in a navy suit, and shared stories on the lawn with his groomsmen as we snagged some candid moments of the group chatting and laughing. As we were finishing up with the guys, the rain made a brief reappearance before subsiding, and the skies parted to reveal the perfect amount of sunshine for the couple's early evening ceremony on the sodded lawn behind the barn with the most phenomenal mountain views (which you may remember from Jessica and Andrew's sunrise engagement).

Although it did starting pouring (as the promised storm arrived during the reception), all of the wet weather held off until we were finished up with the couple's photos taken at one of our favorite spots at this venue. A quaint pond nestled among lush, towering green trees provided the backdrop for many of the photos of the new Mr. and Mrs. What was so unforgettable to us in these moments was that Jessica and Andrew really didn't need much direction. Their happiness and love for one another radiates in these photos, and we couldn't have asked for better memories to share than these two laughing with one another.

Jessica and Andrew are seriously the most genuinely sweet people, and they were celebrated all evening by friends and family who joined them on the dance floor, showing off some impressive moves and toasting them throughout the evening. We are so honored to have been part of this spectacular day, and we wish Jessica and Andrew nothing but happiness as they begin their lives together as husband and wife.

The Quarry - Knoxville Wedding Venue - Wedding Inspiration

We welcomed spring with this styled couple's shoot at The Quarry nestled in west Knoxville. Our model, Denise, embraced one of the hottest trends this season with her two piece gown-- a sequined silver crop top paired with a flowing blush skirt. Alexander kept it simple with a white button up and always classic gray slacks, and his bow tie only added to his dapper appearance.

The Quarry is a venue that boasts both indoor and outdoor spaces, but it is The Canyon that makes this venue an ideal location for outdoor events. Our couple stood amidst the towering marbled quarry walls, and strolled along the perfectly centered stone path towards the grand 25 foot waterfall also on the property.

The bouquet and boutonnière by Melissa Timm incorporated shades of pink, cream, and the always quintessential spring color, lavender. We love the free flowing nature of the florals that paired flawlessly with the moss, stones, and lanterns used as decor for the ceremony site. The quaint ceremony site for this shoot was made up of dark benches adorned with white furs, and the ornate chandelier surrounded by draped fabric hung above a natural rug where the couple could share a memorable first kiss as husband and wife.

The couple also braved a trek to an overlook on the property in order for us to capture some some breathtaking moments of love among the blooming red buds. This spring inspiration from The Quarry is the perfect way to embrace the sunshine, warmer weather, and new beginnings.

Knoxville Museum of Art Wedding - Miriam + Ryan

A beautiful two piece gown, the perfect accessories, touches of lavender, and a gorgeous handmade Chuppah were just a few of the memorable details of Miriam and Ryan's fall wedding, but it was the palpable love you could feel from everyone who shared in their day that truly made this event special.

The couple's big day took place at the perfect location for the two, the Knoxville Museum of Art. This venue boasts two gorgeous courtyards and a modern, sleek style ideal for such an affair. The two were wed outside under a beautifully crafted Chuppah, a canopy characteristic of Jewish wedding ceremonies. The ceremony incorporated various poems read by friends and family, and a friend was granted the honor of marrying the two, which made these nuptials even more meaningful; the two shared personalized vows before celebrating their matrimony by breaking the glass and sharing a kiss as guests shouted, "Mazel Tov."

We are so thrilled to share Miriam and Ryan's wedding with you today, and we wish them nothing but happiness as they begin their journey as husband and wife.

A great day is even better with such amazing vendors!

The Quarry at Ijams & Downtown Knoxville Engagement - Kari & Ben

Three words: beauty, beard, and bikes.

Kari and Ben's engagement session at Ijams and around Market Square in Knoxville was all about these three B's. We absolutely love this couple's energy, and their love for each other clearly radiates through these photos.

Kari is a natural beauty with a gorgeous smile that lights up the room, and we adored her choice of a red sundress for the more rustic photos at the Quarry. Ben was looking quite dapper as well with the always classic choice of a bow tie. Their styling was perfect! The first thing we noticed about Ben when we met him was that amazing beard; we were glad to highlight this feature in all its glory in these photos. The incorporation of the two vintage-inspired bikes allowed the two to share some really playful moments with each other and for us to capture some candid images of the two truly being themselves.

Enjoy these memories made with Ben and Kari. We are so excited to share these today, and we are looking forward to their October wedding in downtown Knoxville.
