Punta Cana, Dominican Republic Destination Wedding
We are so thrilled to share Megan and Louis's beautiful destination wedding today. This couple means so much to us, and we felt honored to be such an important part of their day not only as photographers but also as friends.
Their ceremony took place along the beach at the Royalton Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana. This resort boasts several delicious restaurants, access to a water park, and beautiful beachside scenery. We loved the incorporation of florals from Charleston, where the two met, and beautiful blue tones that evoked the feel of not only the ocean but the beautiful Carribean sky.
Megan and Louis's reception took place on an intimate and luxurious boat where guests were served island inspired food (and French fries) as we lounged on the top deck and danced as we floated in the ocean.
Enjoy this lovely Dominican Republic destination wedding, and join us in wishing this sweet, amazing couple a congratulations with us again.

Sarah & Daniel's Haw Ridge Park Engagement
These high school sweethearts had two classes together when they initially met, and ironically enough one of those was Chemistry, something clearly evident in these adorable engagement photos.
It couldn't have been a more perfect evening to spend with these two at Haw Ridge in Oak Ridge. This park boasts extensive trails that run alongside the Clinch River, and we loved the gorgeous scenery of this location as well as the old fashioned wooden fence and beautiful docks we visited with the couple. Haw Ridge holds a bit of sentimental value for the two as well as they have run the trails together, and we were thrilled to incorporate that sense of nostalgia in these photos.
We had to visit the location where it all started, their alma mater, Hardin Valley Academy, to capture a few intimate moments with Sarah and Daniel. We climbed to the top of a hill overlooking the school with blooming wildflowers and a mountain backdrop, resulting in some of our favorite shots.
We hope you enjoy these moments from Sarah and Daniel's walk down memory lane as a newly engaged couple. Could they be any cuter? We are so excited for their wedding in May!

Dara's Garden Wedding - Kayleigh + Talon
What do you get when a former student contacts your husband and you to photograph their amazingly beautiful fall wedding? An awesome experience, that's what! We are so honored to have been chosen to capture Kayleigh and Talon'swedding and reception at Dara's Garden.
A beautiful venue just off Alcoa Highway, Dara's Garden boasts gorgeous stone pathways around the property, a covered tent perfect for events in any weather, various ceremony locations (although we loved that Kayleigh and Talon chose the draped pergola), and perfectly manicured grounds that offer gorgeous scenery for the couple and guests alike. We love the classic nature of this venue, but we also love that there are so many ways to make a wedding unique here.
Kayleigh and her bridesmaids spent the morning in the bridal suite, laughing and singing, but what we found to be so noteworthy is the love clearly evident amongst this group of girls. The sweetest moment occurred when Kayleigh, who slipped into her dress with only her mother in the room, shared a first look with her best friends (check out their sincere and heartwarming reactions below). Tears continued to flow as Talon met his mom for a first look as well outside by the stone fountain at the back of the house.
This couple is so fun loving, and we were happy to oblige their request to have some shots prior to the ceremony reenacting the classic scene from "Say Anything." Although the dress and decor appear fairly traditional, Kayleigh and Talon actually incorporated some really unique and modern elements with their unity painting (when both poured paint onto a blank canvas together), a lip sync battle between the bride and her bridesmaids versus the groom and his groomsmen, and did you see those amazing converse Kayleigh was sporting? Too perfect!
We are so thrilled to share this naturally beautiful bride and her handsome groom's special day, and we hope you love these shots from their garden wedding.

Jodi and Ed's Hobbs Farm Wedding
Jodi and Ed's special day took place at The Hobbs Farm in Loudon, Tennessee. This gorgeous venue features a lovely, hidden outdoor ceremony location as well as a spacious barn for a unique reception experience.
We absolutely loved the incorporation of a first look between Jodi, her mother, father, and adorable son. This was such a sweet moment along with Jodi opening special gift from Ed prior to the ceremony, a beautiful silver necklace embellished with the word "Mrs." Little country touches with mason jars, a draped pergola, and stunning wooden doors adorned with wreaths for the entryway, set the scene for the perfect outdoor ceremony on a fall afternoon.
The bridesmaids' beautiful navy blue dresses were accented with simple bouquets of baby's breath, and we loved Jodi's elegant floral arrangement incorporating timeless peach roses. This group was a ton of fun the entire day, posing and joking throughout the photos, but we most enjoyed our time with them as they cut a rug on the dance floor the entire evening.
We hope you enjoy this rustic, fall wedding as much as we did, and wish Jodi and Ed a big congratulations with us!

Greg and Stephanie's Traditional West Knoxville Wedding
It was a day full of love, happy tears, simple elegance, and true celebration. We are so thrilled to share Greg and Stephanie's West Knoxville wedding today.
Our day began with the couple at Embassy Suites, a hidden gem and truly lovely indoor venue, as they prepped for their big day. We absolutely loved Stephanie's traditional lace gown with shimmering embellishments as well as her choice of full length navy bridesmaids dresses complimented by beautiful white and green floral arrangements. The couple's first look at Founders Park at Campbell Station allowed the two to share some intimate moments before joining their bridal party for some playful shots.
The Catholic ceremony took place at St. John Neumann, a gorgeous church adorned with stained glass windows, intricate stone statues, and rich wooden pews. We loved having a moment to grab some bridal portraits of Stephanie outside in front of the oversized doors amongst a stone façade. The surroundings added reverence for the true meaning of the day, the joining of their lives as one before God, family, and friends.
The reception, held in the Tennessee Ballroom at Embassy Suites, featured elegant centerpieces created by the groom's mother, and incorporated some awesome dance moves and a little bit of karaoke from the couple. A sparkler exit ended the perfect day for this newly named husband and wife.
We hope you enjoy Stephanie and Greg's big day as much as we did!
